Should I be scared that the dentist wants to look at my cracked tooth?

I am PETRIFIED of the dentist.I have an appointment tommorow,and he says he wants to look at my tooth.Im 11.I bit down hard on a popcorn kernel.My tooth split in half.Also,my permanent tooth is coming in behind my baby tooth.So,really,i have two questions.Should i be scared and will he pull it.Also,will he fill it.
