What do you call this type of smell, mildew?

I'm talking about the smell that the inside of rubber gloves give after being used several times. Towels that have been used several times without washing and being hung to dry give off the smell too. I'm not sure if it would be called a mildew smell but I suppose that's what it's commonly called. Perhaps it's also a sweat smell although it's not a body odor smell. Does anyone know another word for it?
