Isn't it amazing what Ichiro is doing in his mid to late 30's?

I agree it is amazing. In the past decade far more guys are performing well into their late 30's due to superior conditioning and nutrition. I wouldn't say he wasted his youth though bud more like developed his skills in Japan. Pete Roses record will be broken sooner or later. It may take a bit longer than it would have now that guys can't use the amphetamines that Rose admits he was popping but it will happen. I thought Jeter might be the man to do it but it looks like he is declining. Even though Ichiro will not break the record I respect him far more than i ever did Rose. I don't know if you are old to remember Pete Rose playing but he was a total dick. Ichiro has far more class. Ichiro has more respect for his team and managers, he is kinder to fans and the media, and I seriously doubt he is a double cheater like Rose ( amphetamines and gambling too).
