Is this an illegal pitch?

I play in fastpitch softball and I've never heard of the rule that you cannot pass your hip 3 times with the ball, but I am going to ask you all if my windup is an illegal pitch. Before I bring my hands together, i swing both my glove and pitching hand (with ball in it separated from each other) back and then swing forward to have them meet over my head then I hit my leg with my mitt and swing my pitching arm back to start my windmill and then release the ball. I'm not sure if you can't pass your hip MORE than 3 times or the limit is twice, but if anybody knows the rules of NSA or ASA softball about fastpitch pitching please explain if this is an illegal pitch.
