How to get my R4i gold v2.0 working?

I have bought an r4i card from r4 flash.com and I recieved it and bought a 4gb SDHC gard and downloaded the kernel download for it and it put my games on it and it dosent work. Please please help. I want it to work for y DSI but everytime i put it in it says 'an error has occured' why does it say this???
